An English speaking guide will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi at 21:00 and take you to Hanoi Train Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.
Lao Cai – Sapa – Climbing (B/L/D)
You will arrive in Loa Cai at around 06:00 where you will be met by your guide. From the train station you will take a bus to the starting point of the climb. You will have a filling breakfast before you begin the day's trek. The bus will take you to the Tram Ton Pass which perches high up on the mountain at an altitude of 2100 meters. You can visit the Silver Waterfall and take in the immense beauty of Sapa en route. Today you will trek for roughly 6 hours through different terrains such as jungles and bamboo forests before reaching the campsite at 2,800 meters above sea level. Alhtough the campsite is basic, you can enjoy some campfire cooking and a sound nights sleep on the peaceful mountain.
Camping – The Summit of Fansipan (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the camp, you will complete the last leg of the trek to the summit. You will notice a change in the plant life as only the hardier species can survive at these high altitudes. You will be trekking through and bamboo forests for roughly 4 hours before reaching the summit. Having conquered the Roof of Indochina, you can spend around an hour taking in the astonishing views of the mountains, valleys and villages. After lunch, you will descend the mountain to Sin Chai Village, where you can spend the night with a local Hmong family.

After breakfast, you will take an easy hike along the small trails through the rice paddies and across the Muong Hoa River to another Black Hmong village. From here, you will be driven back to Sapa where you can relax and enjoy a delicious lunch of local food. In the afternoon, you will travel back to Lao Cai to board the night train to Hanoi.
